Depends the future value of that $135.
I live in Saint Louis and do not think I have ever seen traffic on a Saturday morning, except if a major road is closed. If there aren’t any road closures and google maps says 35min, you will probably make it in under 30min.
I work close to the test center and there are plenty of parking garages in the area so parking will not be an issue. Metered street parking is typically available as well.
If I were you, I would 100% sleep at home.
Waze and/or Google Navigation is your friend (if you have a smartphone)…
If whether or not you pass the test hinges on a marginal hour of “less stress” for no transportation, offset slightly by the stress of a foreign bed, you haven’t studied hard enough.
try $400. For my level 2 exam which was in SF, I booked 2 nights. That way I didn’t have to drive 50+ miles in the morning and risk an accident/car breakdown.
Why 2 nights? night before and day of. It was awesome to take a 45min nap in between the 2 sessions.was totally worth it
I am in NY and I find taking the test with thousands of people disturbing. Therefor I am going to take the test in long island, where hopefully it won’t be that crowded. Mapquest says the test center is an hour and five minute drive. I am not a “morning person” so I would try to get up as late as possible, so I was deciding whether I should go there the day before. Then I realized there may be beach traffic on that saturday morning, so now no question I will stay in the hotel.
$135 is nothing, do what feels right, the money should not be an issue.
I booked the hotel ><
For some reason, wianek… I just feel better about scoping out hanging out in the testing center leading up to the exam and just walking downstairs to take the test. Not sure why, but it just puts me more at ease. the ONLY concern I have as of now is food (breakfast and lunch). I wear earplugs when sleeping anyway so I’m not too concerned with noise.
Good call OP. I’m doing the same thing in Toronto. I live an hour+ from the exam centre which is near Pearson Airport and I hate driving in the city. I plan on heading up at noon the day before and prepping things like meals for the next day and then I’m taking the night off, probably relaxing in the hot tub. I plan on being completely stress free the day of the exam.
Now that you booked the hotel, get a Call Girl to come to your room around 6am. That will get you up in the morning.
