Knee is still odd, but did 29mi on Fri on the bike in TN and 47mi on Saturday. Took a rest day yesterday.
Headed home today to get back on a better diet and schedule. I ordered some new Aqua Sphere Seal 2.0 swim goggles. I hope to start heavy swimming late this week.
On a more hilarious note, I’ve been letting people run into me lately. Like, if you’re standing in line and the person turns around and runs straight into you. I typically jump aside.
Why do people do this anyway? They were standing in line the whole time and suddenly and spastically do a 180 straight back into the line…
I don’t want to make any sudden jerk-like movements when I’m flat footed. If I’m on my toes it’s fine. This morning this chick was at the elevator at my hotel and she was looking at the tourist guides or something. I was standing right in front of the elevator, nearly 4 feet away from her. Sure enough she grabbed some pamphlet and quickly did a 180 and ran into me. lol oh well.
If I can only crosstrain for this event, I think it’s going to be hard for me to break 5:10. The biking cross training has been great, but it is very time consuming. I think if I throw in swimming as well it will make my running gains increase a little bit too.
ACE, you need to see a Physical Therapist about your knee. Get rehab exercises, stretches, massages techniques from a qualified professional for your specific case.
My diet is verifiably insane again. I burned 2800 cal on Sunday and Monday, which both were basically rest days. But, I was eating like crazy. I had a yuuuge breakfast yesterday at the hotel. I must have had 16 eggs yesterday. I think I hit 4500 cal. Before bed I killed a bag of 1800 cal trail mix then a bunch of other stuff and finally dry roasted peanuts with honey poured on them (yeah. a pint).
I thought for sure I was going to wake up at 185, but hit 175.6 this morning. Soooooo odd. I felt super fat.
Maybe I need to take more rest days. I had a good session tonight at my side gym and my bro from ATT just started working there so pumped about that.
