Annual Raises

less than 6% raise, 5k bonus for passing CPA first year and that’s it. That’s what you get in public accounting, no bonuses but consistent raises. On the bright side, I still have a job, calls from recruiters, and lots of learning.

I am in Commercial Banking and would be lucky to get a pat on the back at this point.

company laid off about 30% on my floor (large bank, affected by the crisis). Happy to have a job and will probably get bonus but no merit-increase…

Better than nothing I guess. I think there should be a rule if somebody says you are getting 5k it should be 5k after tax, not 3k after tax…government did not help me pass CPA why should they get the cut hahah

Don’t find out anything until Feb. I would normally expect about 100% bonus in a normal year. this year should be more around 50-75%. I work for a buy side firm in SF.

^^^^I need to get out of public accounting…and NYC with its crappy weather…sigh unless it’s 50%-100% of 40-60k
