There is absolutely nothing. We are still in the dark ages of information with international investments, not just small-caps, even mega-caps.
Yup, same for China. There are all sorts of mispricings in these markets and it’s because there is not a large foreign investor presence to exploit them. I would have dug thru Vietnam by now, but it’s not something IBRK has available. I assume only certain bigboy firms can buy there, for now. And the whole “country risk” thing is sort of silly. Americans are afraid of the world, and their media tells them “ohh don’t invest there, it’s so scary!” in order to keep US equities propped up at crazy valuations. So there’s the real country risk, and then the imagined country risk, and the imagined one applies. And related to this you have the dollar bubble and people worried about FX pain if they step outside USD. This all sums to some strange global pricings.
