I’ve never taken Level III, but my strategy is to do the return last because it could eat up so much of your time. As suggested above I’m going to start with the constraints. The result of the constraints should give you the risk and with my remaining time I’ll do the return. When doing the return I’m going to make sure I write out the N, PV, FV, & PMT in hopes of getting some points even if I have to move on without getting i or rushing through i and coming up with an incorrect answer.
I haven’t figured out the logic for ability to take risk … abov avg / avg / below avg. That part is total hit or miss for me. I can be in the zone but am not picking the CFAI answer. Has any one figured this out ? Thanks
GSG, Do you have access to the schweser library? I only have limited access (the free stuff that comes with the essentials package), but there is a 3 page PDF on how to break this down. Not sure if it is anything new, but if you have access you should at least check it out.
