Pulling 3 all nighters in a row shouldn’t kill you. I can’t imagine that you’d be very productive (I’d need sleep to do anything useful). But it shouldn’t kill you. Clearly something else went wrong. BofA is not responsible.
By ‘fix’ I meant fap, not sex. Unlimited fap has bad consequences whereas unlimited sex has not, simply by virtue of the availability differences. With fap you are unrestricted. With sex it is very hard to abuse. Try it, I just didnt’ manage to develop sex addiction. Either not enough girlfriends or not enough money.

Sad story. If anything it makes me appreciate more working in asset management. Almost nobody works more than 60 hours a week in AM with 40-50 the norm. Sure the pay isn’t quite at IB levels but it’s still good and quality of life is much higher (unless you really love the work).
How this turns into a nofap debate is beyond me. Anyway, is the position available? Who should I address my cover letter to?
Seems like an attention grabbing headline without much substance behind it. I don’t really believe that working at a desk, alone, can cause a person to die. Redbull, coke, speed or extreme amounts of other stimulants could have combined with somebody with an undiagnosed heart arrhythmia and it’s pretty easy to see how this could happen. Personally, because I procrastinated, I worked much harder and pulled a lot more all nighters in school than I ever have at work, simply because I can’t roll into work looking like sh!t.
Agreed. I never got a chance to even interview for IB. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise.
Guy had issues. When I was an analyst 2-3 all nighters were the norm. I pulled an all-nighter on Christmas. I drank coffee, that was about it. Clearly this dude had other issues and if this didn’t kill him something else would. Blaming banks is dumb but not unexpected.
