This makes Trump’s numbers look even better. Took him some time to turn things around and the early part of Trump’s term was dragged down by Obama’s results, sad.
In other words, the US economy is doing better under the leadership of President Trump–even in the face of uncertainty and collapse–than it did in the best days under Obama.
Pretty rookie move conflating the equity market and the economy. Not even the most rabid Trump supporter can argue the economy is doing better right now than in the Obama days. Sure the equity market is higher, but there has also been three years of earnings growth since then, tax cuts, lower cash rates, etc.
i mean technically people are making more money unemployed. so everyone should be doing better! viva trump the socialist. itsw hilarious though. republicans who support trump. like dude this guy is buying the election and putting massive debt on the us. more sba loan! and bailouts please. your taxes about to shoot up my dude.
dems are idiots though. i get their ideals. but why the ■■■■ would you help trump buy the election. imo they deserve to lose. that was literally the time to demand wealth tax. tax hikes. real estate tax. they missed the boat completely.
Not sure what you’re trying to say here? Obama started in the midst of the biggest recession of a generation.
Also, pointing out that the nominal value of stock indexes are higher today than 4 years ago is a ridiculous piece of evidence if you’re argument is simply trump is “great”. If you put a mechanical drinking bird in the White House for 4 years equity markets would likely be higher.
I wouldn’t call it blaming, more…explaining. The fake news is trying to pin everything on him. When he closed things down in January, they called him a racist while the libs were encouraging people to get together. Then now they say he didn’t do it soon enough. He said he has the power to control when things reopen, they called him a dictator. He explained in more detail and they say he’s not leading.
The fake news blames him (even though he’s been doing an excellent job) while they didn’t blame Obama for anything (like his incompetence regarding H1N1). I would be frustrated too if I was Trump if I had to press on my back telling me I was wrong, no matter what I was doing for political reasons.
In the last year of Obama’s presidency, the S&P 500 was up 22.2% and GDP was up 2.4%. Not remotely a mess.
So he handed Trump an economy that was growing steadily and a stock market that was booming and what did Trump do? He kept the GDP growth at essentially the same level and tanked the stock market growth.
You can’t spin this into a Trump’s-great-and-Obama’s-awful narrative. You can’t even spin it into a Trump’s-great narrative.
As far as the economy and the stock market go, Trump’s been average at best.
What a joke there’s no difference in GDP growth under Obama and Trump post 2009. The economy was great when Trump got into office regardless of what your favorite media outlet tells you. He didn’t fix anything. He went along with an unnecessary tax cut purely for political reasons so he could take credit for a booming economy., when he should have shored up the nation’s finances so we would be better prepared for the next economic downturn.
