LinkedIn Networking question for those who know what is acceptable for buyside analysts: Is it acceptable for me to connect with sell-side analysts and bank “sales reps” and traders on linkedIn?

You can connect with anyone on LinkedIn that you want, though if I were a sales contact I would probably wonder why this person is adding me unless you are actually doing business with them. Else, I just think it’s someone looking for a job and sales contacts get hammered with job-seeking requests every day. If you already know them, it’s a different story.
