CFA books on tape/audio??

Does anyone know of any downloadable audio or CDs on the CFA material? I drive an hour to work and an hour home every day and I think it would be great to have the material playing in the car. That’s two hours a day that I’m not working and can’t study, so any way I could be productive during my commute would be an improvement.

If not I’ll probably just record myself reading my notecards and play that, worked when I would have to memorize sales scripts at one of my earlier jobs. Gotta try everything, home stretch.

Good timing. I have a ten hour drive next week and was looking for an audio option besides Schweser. I see the Allen products on my Android phone through google play (no audio product though, only test bank). But on my iphone i cannot find them. I only use my iphone for work so am not familiar with itunes, but I don’t see anything for Allen Resources when I search. If someone has an iphone do you mind seeing if they are out there and I am just missing it?

Nevermind, got it. I was looking in itunes store, which apparently is not the same as the app store. I am used to Android. Not crazy about the audio sample. Sounds like a robot.

Hey guys - I see you’ve mentioned Allen. How are they? Thinking of maybe supplementing my Schweser with some Allen products. Thanks in advance

Anybody has some good experiences with audio notes? What are the pros and cons?

I used Kaplan audio notes for Level 1 and currently for Lvl 2. They’re great to listen to passively in the car and while running/walking to get the big concepts and to review after reading the material. I feel like I doubled the amount of time I studied.

Particularly helpful for topics without a lot of formulas, esp ethics.

So in your opinion a great benefit to have the audio notes?

I actually ended up getting the kaplan audio material (company paid for it). I actually think it was really helpful. The next morning(s) on the way to work I would listen to the subject(s) I went over the night(s) before and I felt that it helped reinforce the material and it highlights some of the smaller things that I might have overlooked or forgotten. Plus I have an hour commute to and from work so that’s two hours a day that I spent being somewhat productive that I otherwise would’ve lost. Also listened to it in the shower, got good use out of it. I’ll go with audio again next year.
