CFA...one of the most difficult exams in the world?

MIND = BLOWN!

So, if I’m standing next to two black people and I call one of them a n!gger, that means that only one of them gets to take offense, right? I’m only saying it to one of them. Since I’m not saying it to the other one, he should not feel offended.

The incredible stupidity of what you just did completely surpasses even my assessment of your mental incompetence.

So you got a little mad about people attempting to have a civil discussion and next thing you know you’re whipping out racial slurs. Really proved a lot of people right on Texas. Have a cheeseburger and think about what you did.

Yeah, using racial slurs is meant to be offensive. And is generally taking as such by everyone involved. You can’t call one dude a slur. This is more akin to making fun of college students for drinking too much doesn’t mean we are making fun of alcoholics. Making a stoner comedy (Dude, where’s my car) isn’t making fun of drug addicts.

And again, you should be reflecting on how you feel as reason NOT TO make fun of other groups that have their issues. But you’re making it reaaaaaaaaallly hard to give you sympathy when you think making fun of people who are 50 pounds overweight and blame genetics = the n-word.

greenie get your ass to the gym asap. i recommend boxing. its fun and a great work out.

again, that is in no way analogous

How is it NOT analagous?

You guys overgeneralized with fat people. You did not differentiate between different types of fat people. You said, “All fat people are fat because they eat crap and don’t exercise—not because of hormones or genetics.” For example…

By saying, “all fat people are disgusting pieces of undisciplined sh!t”, you offended me. Now you’re trying to backtrack and say, “Wait–we meant OTHER fat people. Not you, Greenie. You’re different.”

That’s like me saying “I hate n!ggers–but not you” to a random black person. How could I say that and NOT expect them to take offense? Yes–this is a perfect analogy.

Surely this conversation is being monitored by HBO and will someday be played out on screen in the show Billions. I just hope that if my character is a girl, that I’m a pretty girl.

Guess that makes me transgender now. cya balls.

(never been more kidding in my life).

I’m not asking for your sympathy. And I don’t want an apology. I want an answer to the question. (Or now, two questions.)

  1. How is obesity different from other “social diseases” such as substance abuse, problem gambling, or transgenderism? Why is obesity (and its associated cure) oversimplified to the point of being a mathematical formula, whereas the the solution to the other problems are “genetic” or “cultural” or “societal” or “biological”?

  2. Why can’t you guys just simply admit that you’re just as pigheaded, prejudiced, biased, and trailer-trash as me? Is your bigotry somehow more moral or justified? Because you’re name calling fat people instead of black people?

(I feel like I should add here that I am not, and never have been, a racist. I’m simply using that as an analogy. You can’t name-call a whole group of people and then expect some of them to NOT take offense to it.)

Who name called fat people?

I didn’t say fat people are disgusting. Undisciplined yes, disgusting no. Also, I haven’t backtracked anything. Whether or not you (Greenie) are overweight, it won’t change my viewpoint.

Because you haven’t for one second admitted that to a very large degree someone’s weight actually is in their control. Being born black/hispanic/white is uncontrollable.

This is the last time i’m going to repeat myself, since you don’t seem to give a fuck outside of your persecution complex (or being a ‘snowflake’ to use your terminology). We all have to make active steps to lose out pudge and lose our weight, just because we’re discussing what we have to do, doesn’t mean we’re targeting you. 1. It’s not. There’s a difference between being indulgent in a vice and having a problem. We make fun of people who drink too much (college student trope) and we make fun of people who have mental health issues (what are you, crazy or something?). Hell, we even make fun on Kanye.

I’m not making fun of people who are addicted to food, the people on my 600 pound life are seriously killing themselves due to addiction. But there are people who are overweight and make excuses for their pudge.

Like you said, everyone has to eat, and almost everyone has the urge to put on weight. This is how we’ve evolved, and we all have to make the conscious decision not to get fat. But you don’t get to dictate talking about a little bit of extra fat, this isn’t meant to be a safe space for everyone, you have to have thicker skin.

  1. Most people (outside of those mentioned) can’t control being black. I’ve never met a person who thought eating veggies and exercise will turn them white. Your use of the n-word suggests you’re also racist, either intentionally or you’ve grown up in an environment that normalizes it instead of telling you that you’re wrong.

  2. Legitimate question: Do you actually have an addiction to food? https://oa.org/ is a resource

Did you read the part where I said “I’m neither agreeing nor disagreeing…” I said it twice.

You are correct. But I still stand by my point–you can’t namecall and insult an entire group of people, then expect one of them to not take offense. “Yeah–I insulted the whole group, but I didn’t mean you.”

If you just put half this much energy into the treadmill we wouldn’t even be having this debate.

Oh. I get it now. It’s okay to be bigoted towards some groups of people. As long as it’s the groups that YOU think deserve to be bigoted against.

Suppose this–let me take back the racial slur–because, as noted, blacks can’t change their color. Let’s say instead that “All transgender people are f*cking weird. Nothing but a bunch of fags and lesbos who need to be stoned to death, like it says in the Bible.” Since transgender people DO have control over their situation, I find this statement to be much less hateful and degrading than my earlier one. And it is just as demeaning as your statements about obese people.

Example #1.

But that’s a good job of insulting me while dodging the questions.

  1. It’s a simple observation.

  2. I doubt that’s Example #1 since you just yelled out what you specifically called examples up there.

  3. You are just throwing a giant hyper-sensitive hissy fit and yelling racial slurs amidst what was a very civil discussion while not even addressing the stupidity of your big fat decision. You could have easily just just said, “this is like someone using racial slurs” if you really were interested in drawing bad analogies. But the reality is you wanted to feel like the big(ger) man for a minute so you got all revved up on corn starch and started screaming obscenities while accusing other people of calling names (which literally nobody did before that).

  4. Sure, some people hold a view that its purely a control issue, there’s a merit to that snowflake. Your inability to accept that only reinforces the accuracy of what they’re saying. A bunch of people (me,Gringo, Poopenhauer) even blatantly agreed that there are other factors that belong in consideration but you glazed right over all that in your rush to make it about you so you could throw some racial slurs out there.

So I don’t know what questions you think are being dodged. I don’t see any. I just see someone losing their marbles because people have other points of view and that offends them.

The whole premise of your debate is that if people had another addiction, nobody would hold them accountable. Thing is, I can say with certainty, you’re not the only person even in this discussion who’s had to battle these things. I had to get rampant genetic alcoholism in check in my 20’s (not the haha that was funny kind) and I know there are others here. I think if you asked any of us, we’d have the same debate about drinking (if it’s a problem, stop doing it) and how much is control. I’m pretty sure we could have the discussion without some drunk yelling out racial slurs because the village closet racist can’t handle other people discussing addiction without getting their panties in a bunch.

What if judging fat people was genetics? I can’t help it (anytime I see someone I can’t help but form an opinion no matter what do) Maybe they should be more accommodating of my disease. I won’t stand by and let my fellow fat shamers be insulted. We were born this way.
