CFA too good for trader?

Thanks everyone for the responses.

If the CFA designation is worthless to become a day or swing trader, how do big investment banks such as Morgan Stanley select their traders? Those banks have tons of traders… same for smaller hedge funds… Galleon (although not in existence anymore) for example.

One a side note, what do you guys think is the best job you could have with the value added to your resume from the CFA? (use any time horizon you want)

Any job that pays well and i do not have to kill myself over.

Honestly i don’t care about the job title… i have worked long enough to know that an analyst can make more than a manager or even a controller in some cases, and then there are obscure titles that you never heard before and they are actually really interesting jobs…

I guess i am not job hunting for a while so i stop caring about how to look good on my resume
