I recently realised that I had renewed my passport about a week or two ago. However, this makes my current passport invalid as (while it is not expired in terms of date) it is no longer valid because the cover has been cut.
I need to submit a form for the change of passport particulars and it mentions 3-5 business days to process (which the exam is about 5 business days away), slightly cutting it short.
Has anyone experienced this? I feel I may run the risk of showing up on exam day without having my particulars changed and being turned away.
It’s ok. Something like this happened to me in 2013 - I forgot to give them my new passport info that I had gotten in April.
Didn’t realize it until 4 days before the exam (!), 3 business days out. I called them up and they told me what to do. I emailed them the required forms and they had it fixed within 2-3 hours.
They hire more people around this time of year to deal with the influx of emergencies. Just follow their instructions and you should be fine.
