Yes… and one thing that shocked me most was that there are so many hidden musicians in Finance and are much better than I am. hawgdriver Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > a lot of cool cats in here but the coolest: > ______________________ > Posted by: panda4126 (IP Logged) > Date: July 29, 2010 07:44PM > > Bachelor’s in Music > New England Conservatory of Music > (no joke) > > Panda, you made a huge mistake. ^^ what do you play? Music is my passion, playing and listening. I would have enjoyed the opportunity to take it further; but the grass is always greener, right? You are probably mathematically inclined considering your CFA success. Did you ever come across any of David Lewin’s work in your music theory studies?
I’ve been playing the piano, but I was major in composition I didn’t come across David Lewin’s theory - I actually thought he was a composer. Didn’t know he was a theorist as well, looks really interesting!. When I saw mean average model in time series, it reminded me of Schenkerian analysis, which is a musical analysis technique to abstract music to see the bigger underlying movement of music. I’ll see what other similarities I can find between finance and music…

Lets see you do better, smartmouth. Perhaps something as witty as your remark above?

I see pawn hasn’t responded to the invite to post his/her own background. I think this is a recruitment company/headhunter survey.
