Fail email?

Its very unlikely that you’ll receive it right at 9 AM EST or whenever they say its coming. Last year mine didn’t come until 3 hrs later or something like that. Go look at threads from last year on results day and you’ll see people wondering if they sent them in a “pass, band 10, band 9, etc.” order, or if they sent them by location, or any number of meaningless theories about why some people get the emails quickly and some don’t.

No, it’s easy.

If the email has the word: “BAND” , you failed

If email has “congrats” you pass

My anxiety level is so high I can’t even stand it

Are these burner cellphones? If not, I’d hate to be the friend who calls you up on the wrong phone just because he is cusrious whether you passed or failed!

Maybe you’ve set these messages to a special ringtone…

The “passing” phone is mine, and the “failing” phone is my wife’s. Each has a different ringtone for messages, and different from incoming calls. Hopefully, no one send me a text at 6am, making the passing phone ring, before I get the CFAI message that i failed.

I’m going to feel a little sorry for you if this scheme somehow makes you think you passed even though you failed but not that sorry for you cause you would have totally brought it on yourself.

I feel atleast for this creativity of Calvol he should get some Bonus marks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5QGkOGZubQ&feature=related change your failure ringtone to this…

Then again we need a meme for this…

Last year, the email was 1 hour and 46 minutes later than promised. I.e. came in at 10:46 EST when they said 9:00 EST, so don’t start holding your breath at 9 sharp… However, the year before it came in at 2 minutes before 9…lol

I would imagine there is a staggered release of emails, because sending 50,000 emails at once would likely crash the server.

Yes, it worked perfectly, my wife’s phone gave me an SMS message tone at about 12:03pm, indicating I had failed unfortunately. I expected it much earlier, and started checking email though and then saw on AF that a lot of gmail users were waiting all morning. With such email delays, this is a great way to get on with your day and not have to check your email every two minutes. I would recommend CFAI add SMS messaging as another delivery option. They are in the stone age when it comes to technology.
