Failed For The 9th Time

hi there,

I wrote level 3 EIGHT TIMES. I kept failing all the time

Then my girlfriend suggested I take the Michael hlinka “passing the cfa “course here in Toronto. It took it and passed !

It cost 3100 bucks. Very expensive But I knew I had to do something different to pass cause I kept studying the 400 hours and failing all the time.

Anyways. I think his program made me study harder than I ever had before with shweser and the other cfa prep providers i used

So. That’s my story. It worked for me. Just putting it out there so it may help anyone.

I guess what u have to do is study very hard so that you are on the passing side of the pass rates. Easier said than done. I think it’s the people that study the most hours that pass , in general. The passing people are out studying/ studying way more hours than the other people.

The hlinka program starts in late October and he has u write quizzes each week where u are ranked vs the 300 or so other people, so will know how you are doing relative to everyone. U also write 3 hour mock exams and one 6 hour full exam that he creates ( you are ranked vs the others on these too )

I’ve always wanted to put my story out here on Analyst forum but never actually did it. Happy I’ve done it. Good luck to everyone!!

Ps. I ALWAYS think about this. If I had spent 800 hours studying for level 3 one year instead of repeatedly doing the 400 every year , I’m sure I would have passed for sure ! So , the story here is that you have to “shut down your life “ and study crazy hours to ensure u pass

With a name like Pedro, rest of it was redundant. The junkies sure got the message.

I failed L3 twice but I looked back and realized it was because I wasn’t using the CFA Curriculum, and didn’t start early enough. I used LevelUp for my third attempt, and it took a lot of work, but I ultimately passed. Marc forced me to study using the CFA Curriculum and actually learn the topics…I think it’s all about the work that you’re willing to put into it. Hope this helps
