Favorite leadership books?

Got the idea of this thread from Turd Fergeson’s post in the boss gift thread.

I’ve read Art of War but other than that, I haven’t read any type of leadership books or taken any management classes so I’m looking to expand my knowledge in this area, thanks!

Someone once told me “Good to Great” was a good read…but he was a loser.

Can we start by making a list of great leadership books? I’ve never read them, but two I want to are:

  1. How to win friends and influence people
  2. Art of War

What others are in that class of first tier leadership books?

I’ve been reading Love Leadership. It’s an easy read and seems to be what this world needs more of: Love style vs. fear style leadership, where one can do well by doing good.

^^I’ve read both of those, and they are great.

One that sometimes comes up is Machiavelli - The Prince, which I have listened to on audiobook a few times and didn’t really like (maybe went over my head?)

Oh yah, i remember a while back I read a book about Berkshire Hathaway’s managers, like of the companies they own, was an interesting book.

Respect.

^^ My monthly oxipowder regime supports this. Guy knows whats up.
