A company I have been interviewing with, want me to take an excel test to test my financial modeling skills. Its for a financial analyst role at the company.
Anyone got any ideas what shape or form such a test takes that goes for 30 minutes??

I’d also like to know this…
never heard of this, should be interesting
I’ve never had to do one, but if you didn’t know how to model very well, I’d suggest doing one of two things.
(1) breakingintowallstreet.com has a great modeling class, but you have to pay for it
(2) modeloff.com is a modeling competition that has posted some samples to their website. Go there and answer all their modeling questions and you should be in good shape.
I currently am working through WallStreetPrep’s Premium package. So far, meh, not bad.
I’d be curious to try the BreakingIntoWallStreet package, but don’t want to shell out another $500.
I’m using WallstreetTraining. The instructor, through his excel models, literally uses everything that was taught in Level 2. I wish I had it back then.
Its very basic compared to wallstreetprep…Would not suggest. spend 500 elsewhere
Agreed. I used Wall Street Training and it is by far the best program I have used. Very informative and applicable - unlike a lot of the other programs out there.
Wait, your saying Wallstretprep wins over wallstreettraining? I would like to know. Like what does it do better? I didn’t spend any money on WST but am curious about WSP.
I have used Wall Street Prep, Wall Street Training and Breaking Into Wall Street and think they are all good and roughly equivalent. The least costly package of the three is BIWS.
