I think you are probably wrong. Not that I disagree at all with your points, there did used to be a lot more journalistic integrity, but the amount of information disseminated was significantly less. FDR was in a freaking wheelchair and couldnt walk and 99.9% of America didnt know! I always find that fact interesting when Hill dawgs health is brought up now, imagine what else the public didnt know about presidents. Poor Bill Clinton just wanted to get some head and his spot got blown up, many presidents have done far far worse in office and everyone shrugs their shoulders (Not at all supporting the clintons here, I suppose they just come up in both discussions as they were a prominent family around the time the internet blew up and we find out much more)
Obviously have no data to back this up with but I would imagine American media & politics is as courrupt as its ever been. We probably just have the ability to know about it know via the internet and mass circulation of information (that really who knows how accurate any of it is)

regardless of who wins at the end, I think my greatest takeaway this year is to never ever trust the media. I was always somewhat skeptical, but this year was a total wakeup call how much BS and manipulation is out there

Yeah, just as an average observer, I would say they seem to know what is happening “oh she is having another spazm”. Perhaps they are just trained and nothing phases them, but I am suspicious. Seems like it could another Steve Jobs deal, “oh there is nothing wrong with Steve, it’s all good”, until one day he’s dead. Nobody can just tell the truth in America.
That said, it really doesn’t matter. No matter how sick Hillary is or is not, Trump is unacceptable. We have to move forward with her, then switch to that reasonble Kaine guy if she gets too sick to go on.

Media is clearly questioning Trump’s health (front page headline) to drive focus away from Hillary.
I guess Anderson Cooper took Hillary to task (relatively speaking) yesterday. Her response was to deflect and ask about Trump’s health.
Sure, Trump does need to disclose his health records, but he hasn’t been the one coughing non-stop, spasming, and nearly collapsing recently…so I really don’t understand Hillary’s/CNN’s/every other MSM outlet’s obsession with comparing the two. This isn’t a “we’re both old and have some health problems” topic. This is “Hillary may have something seriously wrong with her and needs to stop lying” thing. Trump doesn’t have the burden of proof that Hillary does when it comes to his health.
Poor Hillary, she isn’t allowed to cough without the media turning it into a scandal.
HRC & DT are under constant stress which will invariably lower their immune system, so we do need to cut them some slack with getting sick. That said, that vid from 9/11 was pretty telling.
What would be interesting is if she stepped down and the Bern took her place.
