I’m with you, guessed on 11 total (4 AM, 7 PM) - not including educated decisions. If the MPS is 65 I’m confident I have a solid shot. Wish all the best.
what , did i messs up my Ethics ?? cauz i could compelete it in both the am and pm in within 12 mins !! I did not even have to stress my mind a bit, i felt it could not have been any easier !!! :o
Hehe guyss… a friend of mine guessed on around 50% of questions I mean complete guesses The remaining 50% of questions he feels he gonna score around 70% right answers.
Dude Ethics was really tricky , i mean there were certainly traps to fall for----it just depends have you noticed them or not----------i had devoted a considerable time to ethics and still found it to be really tricky-----my score on ehtics in mocks was also good----so count on me -----its a general opinion that ethics was a bitch-----it always has been------
I read through the ethics in the curriculum twice…with the last time the week of the exam. i didnt feel like ethics was all that bad…i only recall 1 queston where I said that this is definitely in the gray area.
Yeah that question was a b*tch. On questions like those, it really helps to have read the examples from each standard in the curriculum. That is a question I bet if charterholders were giving the test, the answers will be split evenly.
The reason i found it easy could be the fact that i read Ethics from Schweser like 5 times, once from CFAI books, revised my notes from Level I, did all questions of schweser app for mobile devices, made notes from the ethics questions i got wrong in the CFAI books, Schweser,Mobile app and mocks !! I felt pretty sure of my answers ! Lts just be hopeful
P.s I apparently did not do very well in other sections! thats the sad part.
I don’t get why are you guys worried if you only made 10-20 guesses. You are still a pass even if all of those 10-20 guesses went wrong.
I, however, am in a very different boat. I made more than 40 guesses and it looks like I am well ahead of the curve when it comes to guesses. (which is not a good thing)
It depends how you define a guess. Personally i had 17 or 18 random answers, then a few educated guess where i am really not sure. There are also all the questions where i feel confident but not 100% sure (almost every ethics questions). Finally i am sure for maybe 60/65% of the exam but surely i have fallen for a few traps.
So overall it is hard to estimate.
Let’s wait and see
ps: did you have more than 40 completely random answers?
Okay, so the difference lies in the definition of the “guess”. My definition of guess included every question which I was unsure about, made an educated guess, eliminated one wrong answer choice or a made a pure random guess.
I attempted around 75 questions perfectly. Remaining 45 were guesses. Assuming a 90% accuracy in the 75 and 20% accuracy in the remaining 45 my score comes to 76.5. Will i pass with this 76.5? Please guide me my friends.
My profile is very similar to you except for the guessing effiency.
Are you really sure that you would “only” get 9 out of the 45 guesses right? Even a 1/3 guessing effiency rate gets you 15 questions right and puts your score at 68.75%.
I don’t think MPS would be below 65% so if I expect to score less than 65%, then I would be really nervous.
Compared to last year, i thought ethics was a BREEZE. Last year i was guessing on 90% of them (even though i was scoring very solid in the practice exams). This year, the questions were almost beat for beat what was in the schweiser qbank (granted I also read the CFAI material). I guessed on 2 CF, 1 PM, 6 quant, 6 derivatives, 2 econ, 1 alt, 1 FI. Outside of that, pretty sure I scored 80% (just based on how i was doing in the 8 mock exams i took/mental strain). It all boils down to whether you got right what you thought you got right. If that 80% is a 70%, then I will be in for a rude awakening.
