i think it’s a bit ridiculous when they do it intentionally and obviously, it makes the club very cheapa and sleazy.

I meant the more attractive the crowd, the more of a buzz I want. It’s always more fun to flirt when you’re a bit tipsy.

if people are unattractive, you would want to drink more to make them “look” more beautiful.
if they are attractive you almost need your consciousness to flirt and ask them out.

Completely agree, this is not a long-term decision – more of a short term cleansing.
Drank a decent amount during the holidays as I was back around childhood buddies and family, so during my January 1st hangover I thought back to a good ol’ AF topic and decided to try it out.
As far as how much money I spend, that’s a good question, I haven’t actually spent the time calculating it.
Let’s assume I hit 1 happy hour a week and drop $20 on drinks, my girlfriend and I are together probably 3 of the 4 weekends and typically will go out to a decent dinner or a concert, either of which would include some overpriced drinks, so lets call those events $30 for drinks. On top of that I’d probably layer on $30 for the month for a general beer money fund.
(4 x $20) + (3 x $30) + ($30) = $200
So that’s a decent amount of money…and I don’t think crazy assumptions.
