How old are you?

just turned 25. Was 24 when I sat for the exam

First time sitting for L3, I was 24. Third and most recent time, 27. 28 now.

32 and eagerly waiting for results !!

29, but took L1 in Decā€™16. Like many, got serious late.

Turning 40 in December.

Ghez, I didnā€™t know you were that oldā€¦ The exam must have been super easy 19 years ago, huh

  1. Planning to count 100 approx., so still many years ahead of me.

I got dough proofing at home even as I type this!!!

Approximately 1466899200 seconds

I am probably the oldest here. 60 years old (little younger than Nokia company) and about to sit for Level 3 next june

I sat for the level 3 in Boston. I saw a significant age difference between levels 1 and 3. I would estimate the average age of a level 1 candidate to be 26. There were a couple hundred level 3 candidates and I would guess the average age was around 37 or 38. Very few 20 somethingā€™s in my area. Lots of grey sideburns.just as many mid 50ā€™s as mid 20ā€™s if not more.

There; that looks better.

The exam I recall most vividly was Level II: we had to write out financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement) on a blank sheet. No multiple choice.

The one thing I recall most vividly about Level III was having to write out a recommended asset allocation for a client. None of this choose one of these four possible allocations and justify it drivel.

You mean three possible allocations Honestly I prefer to get a blank piece of paper and and write out a full IPS for a client and recommend an asset allocationā€¦I do that on daily basisā€¦that being said the sheer number of people writing this thing now would mean 12 months to get your mark backā€¦which still be quicker than a decade of trying to get over the L3 hurdle (7 years break in there but still).

Oh yah I am 37 in a few monthsā€¦ so feel old compare to most of the young forum :frowning:
