I’m almost finished all the EOC problems and I feel like I’m literally just going through the motions and not having to think about anything.
For example today I was doing a problem where all you literally had to do was calculate the variance of a portfolios return that consisted of 2 assets. Are these the types of questions that will literally be on the exam in terms of difficulty?
The only tough questions so far were from economics and SS9 in FRA
Kind of concerned because I’m worried they won’t prepare me.
Overall the difficulty of the questions I’d say would be 3/10.
For people that prepare, level 1 isn’t difficult. I think I walked out of both sessions with well over an hour left on the clock. You’ve probably just prepared well and will find the exam easy in June.
OP your concern is legitimate. Get the Schweser exams, and do the questions there. Those are harder than EOCs and will prepare you well for the real thing.
Lol yeah I’m trying to brag about solving some practice problems as a level 1 candidate on a forum of a bunch of chartholders. I’m legitmately concerned that the questions aren’t challenging enough and the exam will throw something crazy at me where I have to problem solve and think because right now I’m doing niether.
As i have said above. you are doing well. Keep it up and keep the info fresh. Just read over Ethics from the actual CFAI book a week before the exam and you should be good to go. Good luck!
