If Gronk had any pride left, he would retire...

Witten looked legit, I was laughing the whole time about how excited you’d be today.

I’ve always rooted for the Cowboys in the NFC, plus they beat the Giants. Great night!

Seahawks!!!

Cowboys!!!

Gronk: 6-116-1. 20.6 points. Left the game in the 3rd quarter because of an injury…again

Witten: 10-97-1. 20.7 points. Played the whole game. Not only great IRL, but a fantasy beast as well

Man, I can only imagine how awesome Gronk could be–if he could actually play a whole game or a whole season.

gronk got all those points in 2 quarters while witten needed garbage time and mop up duty to get the same amount of points

No need for imagination. In 2011 Gronk played the whole year and racked up 90 catches, 1,327 yards, and 17 TDs.

How did Jason Sh itten do that year you ask? 70 catches, 942 yards, 5 TDs.

^Of course, part of that could be the difference between the 8-8 Cowboys and the 13-3 New England Patriots.

what about Jimmy Graham. in 2016: 65 catches, 923 yards, 6 TDs

He is solid.

^Pretty sure - stupidity aside - Kelce is the best TE in the league.

He does love to get unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, doesn’t he?

So frustrating. I really believe he has mental health issues like impulse control. But, he’s awesome so as long as he doesn’t abuse/kill anyone, we’ll tolerate it.

Of course, part of this could be why the Patriots were 13-3 and the Cowboys were 8-8.

Would you rather have an A+ TE that might only play 50% of the season, or a B+ TE that doesn’t miss a game?

I would rather have a the latter.

But I’ll argue that Jason Witten is not a B+ tight end. I mean, he may be now that he’s at the end of his career. But he’s 4th all time in receptions and the Cowboys franchise leader in receiving yards. (And whether you guys like it or not–being an all-time great Cowboy is better than an all time great Buccaneer or Seahawk.)

I don’t know if he’s the GOAT of TE’s. I’d think he’s in the top 10 of all time though. Definitely a HOFer. Just don’t know if he’s first-ballot.

^Yeah, I believe - over the course of his career - he’s more like an A-. I was just trying to make it fair. And certainly he’s a HoFer.

And, no, he’s not the GOAT TE. Top five is debatable. Tony, Sharpe, and Gates are easily ahead of him. Then it gets more interesting.

Holy smokes!!! I had no idea 111 people could be 100% wrong!

I guess they weren’t wrong after all, huh?

^Good question. Let’s look at the stat sheet:

Gronk: 8-89-1 with a fumble. 14.37 points.

Witten: 1-3-0, 0.8 points.

Going into Monday Night, I was down by about 75 points to “a team has no name”. (Who is this?) I had hoped that the illustrious Jason Witten could single-handedly earn me enough points to dominate. I was wrong.

Week 4 stats:

Gronk: 4-80-0. 10.0 points.

Witten: 1-9-0. 1.4 points.

Week 5 stats:

Gronk: did not play due to injury. Again.

Witten: 8-61-0

Week 6

Holy smokes! Gronk tears it up! 6-83-2!!!

Witten has a bye.
