It's the apocalypse investment ideas

Lol, Nerdy’s hero capitulated just before he would have been proven somewhat right.

Nerdy over here with Cuckenmiller and I got Portnoy.

One of my heroes. I look up to a lot of people tbh. And most the people I look up to are saying the same thing. Which is economics matter. Apparently this world thinks you can just print forever. If that is the case we don’t need to work. Just keep printing cash!!

The problem is you’re making a classic mistake. I don’t necessarily disagree but you’re off by a mile in timing as are these stock pickers playing economist. The catalyst and timing for any fed limitations are still a long way off and you’ll join the graveyard of people who fought the fed.

I’m with BS here. Market timing just doesn’t work… if you didn’t buy when the market was down 35% you’re not a buyer. How many times have I seen investors calling for a selloff with plans to get back in and it never comes, or worse fear creeps in when it does and they remain on the sidelines only to buy back at new highs. Paralysis by analysis.

Clearly pricing is being affected by stimulus but that’s the world we live in, brother. Same thing post-2009 and nobody complained too much then. I just don’t see how markets touch recent lows with fiscal and monetary stimulus is in full swing. It doesn’t feel right, but it is.

Fair point. Timing and determining which is the last straw that will break the camels back could be far away. I could be wrong. I just don’t believe that we finished a bear market in a month. This is an ongoing issue where we will retest the lows in my opinion. My net of debt cash position is about 7 percent. But my total cash position is about 25 percent. And the cost of that debt is about 1.5 percent after tax. I figure if markets cash I have dry powder at cheap rate. If markets rise I am still fully invested. I basically mimicked buffetts berkshire. He is borrowing at long term rates and keeping a lot of dry powder. But about 25 percent cash as percent of its market cap.

What do you guys feel about buying back into SPX right now?

SSO is only $65 a pop.

they split sso i think. but with that said. no i would not buy it into a simple correction.

Pumpkins. They’ll go up in October and prolly peak in January,

I put some buddies into SSO near the bottom. They are so happy. One said yo did you see SSO? I don’t check the markets frequently, so I thought the market went down 40 percent or something absurd. I asked what he was talking about. He says " bro they split SSO! What a home run!" Haha I was like oh Yea bro that’s great!

I had to sell almost all my non SSO stocks for private investments that came up. I’m starting to buy stocks again with new funds. It’s so hard to justify not buying SSO. RIP OHAI

Yea I’m kinda pissed I didn’t buy sso during the bottom. I just couldn’t believe that we hit rock bottom in a month. This ones for the history books I guess.

If you never buy, you’ll say this for the next twenty years

He became Obye

I’m ok with average returns. it’s leverage, and I don’t need that risk in my life, If I miss out the next 20 years I’ll miss out. But I’ll only need to hit it big once, and usually you get a chance every 5 years. But at least we can say this bull market from March 2009 is finally over. It took 11 years and a pandemic to kill it. But now we are in a new cycle, hopefully it crashes right away to average it out haha.

Id like to see how you plan to beat SSO compounding on one big win when you can’t even buy before a month recovery…

Month recovery is an unprecedented move. Never in us stock market history did that take place. An otm call option for spy can easily do it, heck you can even do sso. Or I can pull an ohai with the minis. When it comes to leverage, I am just more conservative!!

wow so is the legend of nerdy not compounding at 20% anymore? sad =/

Cagr at 17.72 percent since 2012. Ytd I’m -0.21 percent. I think spy was 14 and -3 respec tively. 35 percent of nw is tied to spy. Tax deferrals prolly add 3 percent. For the longer horizons, I’d say I’m matching it.

there is always nex yesar
