I find strip clubs boring as heck, and sad, and (often) seedy. I feel like I’m afraid to touch anything in the place. However, I am a recent convert to burlesque shows. They can be a lot of fun. I went to “Bathtub Gin” a few weeks ago with some friends and had a great time.
Yeah, I also don’t like strip clubs all that much. The strippers pay a nightly buy in to the club for the privilege of dancing, which means they start out in the red. To break even, they need to convince some sucker to buy a dance. In theory, the concept of a hot naked chick grinding in my lap seems appealing, but not if I have to pay for it, and not if it directly leads to me getting blue balls. On that basis, a strip club is a flawed premise, since you can’t go there just to drink a beer and watch some girls dance without being seriously harassed every 5 minutes by a stripper trying to get you to purchase a dance. Basically, strip clubs are for chumps.

^ Like I said in another thread, things went very differently. We all went the night before to Lincoln Av and there was a solid group of Patriots fans in the bars and restaurants. Guys met a couple of chicks in the bar who come from Boston to South Beach every year to see the Pats, and invited them to our boss suite. One had a solid rack, the other one not so much. The chicks had rather shitty seats and the club level is much nicer than going in Iguana mode for 4+ hours in that stadium. These guys did try to get quality BJs, went to the only strip club in South Beach and came back totally disappointed.
You need to go to lower quality strip clubs.

Bromion, You might be a bit of a tight ass when it comes to money. In your profession that’s a good thing, but not for strip clubs. Part of the fun is to pay for it. These chicks do rediculous stuff on stage just so you’ll leve them a few bucks. It’s school kid lunch money. Harassing you? Well, that’s part of the fun as well. You get to tell them no thanks or yes please. It’s like being brad pitt for and evening even if its all fake. You get drunk, they listen to your bs and laugh at every joke you tell them or if you have no chat they chat for you. Then you get to see the goods and get a hard on. Unless you throw down big money it’s all over before it goes too far and you can still look your wife in the eye. Living in Asia and frequenting places for business where you can get attractive hookers still hasn’t killed my love of American strip clubs. It’s a bar with tits where you don’t have to be the alpha male or a big swinging dick. I visit one just bout every time I’m stateside, and the 20-30 dollar lap dance won’t kill me. Hell the champagne room doesn’t even hurt me. And you might say, I’m a loser. That’s fine. But I’m not alone. I was in a strip club in Hartford, while visiting my parents a few years back. Just me and one black guy. It was a Tuesady early evening. Bartender was giving me no love so I say to the black guy, “how come you keep getting served?” He ignores me. He turned out to Ray Allen. If that shitty CT strip club is good enough for his ass on a Tuesday afternoon, it’s good enough for me.
There is also the matter of time efficiency. Sure, you might be able to pick up girls for free. However, how many hours would you need to invest before they take off their shirt? Strip clubs provide instant gratification. Of course, this is not a perfect substitute for real life relationships, but there is a different time for everything.
I was in Hartford not that long ago. Is there a nice part of Hartford? Because East Hartford is a shit hole. Anyway, I agree with the spirit of your premise, but it’s the actual strippers and their desperation that turns me off. It’s sad to see a 35 or 40 year old woman pretending she’s 25 again and practically begging you to let her grind on your lap so she can make rent this month. Not my cup of tea. Best strip club I’ve ever been to was in Tokyo. That’s not really related to anything here, but I felt like I wanted to point that out.
That’s why you need to go to the lower quality joints. As long as you’re paying for the song, it’s all-inclusive (or so I’ve been told by a few friends who objectify women like that).
Wait, so you have to finish your business within one song? That’s like, what, 3.5 minutes? Secondly, is it objectifying women if the women objectify themselves? Where is the line of objectification?
Clearly you need to work it out so you leverage off some of the comparatively inexpensive grinding that takes place outside the private room. Again, this is where the lower brow establishments come into play. You should be able to get a good 5 minutes worth of public grind time for a couple of bucks while you’re still at the bar.
