Thank you good Sir! And many thanks for all the wisdom you have shared on this forum, has been a massive help throughout the entire journey! Stay classy
Same case with me. Actually thought that I did good this time around. Wishing you all the best ahead
For me the bad performance was on Fixed Income. Now I know what I need to focus on for next time. All the best for Nov!
Mock till you drop if you feel as though you’ve got the curriculum down. The process will highlight weak areas which you can then review in depth to really get it. Bill Campbell mocks are hard but that’s a good thing, you’ll learn plenty more, depth is great Best of luck with November
That was really helpful! Thank you so much
I passed! Today is great day
Congratulations, Chi-Hsuan!
Thanks Bill. Your mocks made me cry but helped me to destroy the exam. These are the most representative in terms of format and best written answer keys you will find, I did find them fairly challenging but helpful in preparation. There is one version with detailed explanations for learning and one version for how much and what is expected to be answered for the exam itself.
Over and out!
To those who didn’t pass this round…
I signed up at the age of 21 as an arrogant bet. Sat for level one a couple times throughout the following nine years. A couple promotions and job changes kept me from committing.
Age 30 I decided to take it seriously. With our first on the way, it gave me the proper amount of motivation. Passed.
Level 2 failed once during the birth year of our second child. Passed the following year.
I took the third level with a high amount of confidence. Failed. Jumped on board for another attempt with the third child on the way. Failed.
It took a global pandemic/lack of commute and waking up at four am to a quiet house to get me to this day. I passed with no expectations of passing. After fifteen years my family and I gave it up as a pipe dream. This was an achievement not for my career but for my family.
At 36 I’ll be posting those letters behind my name showing not my knowledge but commitment to what it stands for.
Use LevelUp if you want to pass. I failed twice with kaplan and passed first time with Level Up. Don’t use anyone else but Marc.
Congratulations, Kkh!
Owe you a big Thank You!
My pleasure.
Congratulations Kkh !
The designation is same and equal for all. Never heard of designation “ CFA in x no. years”
You started at 21 and completed at 36. Some start at 36 or beyond and complete it.
Big congrats to you, Kkh!
Your journey in crossing the finishing line is indeed very inspiring. Age is just a number. Never give up!
Did not pass for a very tight margin. I was wondering if any of you also have the following message in their scoring details:
*Your examination may have included unscored items that are placed on the exam to gather statistical information. These items were not identified on the exam and did not affect your score.
What the hell is that? Could it be that I had some non-graded questions?
Cause in that case I’m very willing to send a formal complaint to CFAI.
Thank you all for your feedback and congratulations to those who passed!
So when they introduced CBT they had mentioned that a couple of questions won’t be marked and they’re doing this to see on average how students score on these questions and accordingly these will be asked in future tests and will be scored then. Like the GMAT where you have 3-4 experimental questions that are not marked.
Thanks, I didn’t know that.
I actually faced an almost entire item set that looked super weird with (to me) quite unknown topics.
It is true that this stuff doesnt affect your score directly, but it actually reduce quite significantly your confidence during the exam (at least in my specific case).
Whatever. I’ll give it a last try in November, then adieu.
Cheers
I recommend MM all the way! Passed L3 on first attempt with him. Failed L2 beofre and switched to him, also passed it with him.
