thats literally a plot line for a movie, except it was in asia. it was some movie in the 90s. it might have been obi wan. rogue trader maybe. i stumbled on it on youtube a year ago maybe.

It certainly was Rogue Trader. Great movie. Except CEO’s version of the “Five 8’s” account is the giant, bloated soufflé that is the large cap domestic equity market, a foamy illusory froth that seems like an endless money-printing machine of profits — until it’s not.

Oh for sure. I honest to God didn’t even realize AMC was one of the Wall Street Bets plays at first. I found the stock by filtering for big 1 day jumps in my Etrade terminal.
I kind of am tempted to call it a bad trade now too. Stock got called away from me on Saturday, and had it not, I’d be sitting here 30 G’s richer right now.
Portfolio is now: 33% TSLA 33% JMIA 33% PLTR --> Too scared to move honestly right now.

On TSLA and JMIA I don’t feel scared at all. Those stocks will get called away from me at $825 & $45 respectively. I have downside protection on them. The only thing I feel scared about is this huge ass short put position I have on PLTR.
I swear raw raw - if this works out this week, I will never be yolo trading again. It served its purpose though of helping me feel alive again post breakup.
