Rotman or Ivey. It pretty much ends there for finance.
My objection to the Canadian business schools is that they’re priced like the top US business schools, but lack the global name recognition of MIT, Chicago, Columbia, etc.
On the other hand, Rotman and Ivey are much easier to get into than those elite US schools.
Globally I agree Wendy, but on Bay Street Rotman can be as good as Columbia. If you leave Canada (or even Ontario), the value of Rotman decreases substantially. Out west I’d even say Ivey or Alberta have more weight.
Yeah I think Wendy’s post sums it up pretty well for internationals. For locals your advice would be sound Geo. (what I’m banking on anyways) There isn’t too much coverage on Canadian schools on the web so it’s nice to get some input beyond the obvious.
