I dont think what you are saying is the opposite as I didnt say it wasnt beneficial, but I think in terms of reasons to go to school, it would be pretty far down on my list. I think it better to just get out there and start your business, once you have the idea. Again, not saying it doesnt add value, but I would rather be full-scale into my business and run things based on my idea than splitting time (or worse yet going to school to then come out and start your business) and money. I have a small business (VERY small) and other than a little guidance on entity formation (who to file with, what to file, etc) and other small considerations (insurance coverage for example) most of it is common sense (or things you can get from asking others). I couldnt imagine contributing my time and capital elsewhere during the peak/beginning. Again, you can get benefit from anything, so I would never say it isnt beneficial, just in my eyes it wouldnt usually be worth it and you could easily get by without it.
