Most efficient preparation for CFA exams

This is borderline nuts and I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but I probably did take the “ease into a hot bath” approach and could have significantly cut down on my study time in the earlier months if I jumped into questions/topic tests/mocks earlier.

No joke: I know someone who started with Schweser QBank right away (no look into the books before this), did the whole QBank and read in the books when it was necessary to answer the questions. He spent 150 hours for Level II and passed, scoring >70% in all categories. I don’t know whether this is feasible for Level III as well, but at least it seemed to work for Level II.
