Mueller impanels grand jury

.

You should read the Mueller Report. The link is a few posts above yours.

I prefered the first edit.

I have, fortunately Iā€™m not burdened by the deep seated voter and party bias or the need to feign outrage. No collusion was found. So now people are falling back on obstruction (with charges not raised), which if youā€™re not vested with an interest in either partyā€™s agenda is a big nothing burger in the scheme of things. Libs gonna lib.

I posted this in the MAGA thread but havenā€™t seen it mentioned here yet (no need to thank me!)

From the President of the United States of America himself:

ā€œIf Iā€™m guilty of anything, itā€™s that Iā€™ve been a great president, and the Democrats donā€™t like it."

Is the behavior of Donald Trump as described in the Mueller Report acceptable behavior for a president of the United States?

Yes or no.

I think his behavior would not be acceptable for the president of a homeowners association. It would certainly not be acceptable for a manager in any (reputable) company that any of us work for. As an American citizen, Iā€™m very worried about the long-term damage to our institutions and democracy.

You are free to disagree.

I mean sure, in that I donā€™t think its that far from what happens with most presidencies to anybody even mildly educated. I think people outraged are just so incredibly naive itā€™s dumbfounding. The reality is we have a bunch of pillow princess that after decades of truly horrific US policy and mass drone strikes with a hear no evil see no evil mentality are getting their panties in a bunch because the president says the wrong things in their PC bubble.

I agree with bs in terms of bias. But trump is still a terrible leader, since he just makes the division worse instead of inspiring everyone to do better. Obama is no different, he didnā€™t unite everyone either. But Obama just has more class and has fewer conflicts of interest. Trump routinely seeks out how to aggrandize himself, his family, and his constituents unabashedly. Anyways imo itā€™s just the sign of the times. Hopefully 1 day we can unite everyone again.

I donā€™t disagree he does all those things, but people getting excessively butt hurt about it are missing the broader picture. Sure he did these things, sure Clinton me tooā€™d a chick in the oval office and lived to see another term. Bush started ridiculous wars. Obama oversaw a doubling of federal debt and drove a lot of these wedges between the parties, relying on executive orders. People just hate that with Trump theyā€™re getting a better look in the mirror.

obama boosted govt spending when private spending went down. imo he did the right thing. govt is suppose to provide safety when shit goes south, since the instability is what will destroy a nation. our country should be using times like this to strengthen the govt fiscal situation. either by cutting government subsidies or raising taxes. these deficits is more of a function of too many benefits for social secuirty and medicare. it will only get worse as time goes on unless a great person is cut those programs or at least limit its growth.

He did, during the first four years, doesnā€™t really explain the ongoing rise in entitlement spending the next four. It also doesnā€™t account for the sheer magnitude. Thereā€™s stimulus, and then thereā€™s panicking and doubling the nationā€™s debt by $9T with infrastructure none the better. Again, the libtards struggle with the fact that Iā€™m not defending Trumpā€™s policies as good, but theyā€™re not substantially worse than what weā€™ve had if you tune out the noise.

Substantially worse? Politics aside, Obama ran up equivalent deficits during a financial crises as Trump is doing now with 3% unemployment. Of course none of this matters in Trump world.

Bank CEO Stephen M. Calk Charged With Corruptly Soliciting A Presidential Administration Position In Exchange For Approving $16 Million In Loans

No he didnā€™t. It must feel good to say things without bothering to check. Deficit hit 10% levels through 2009 and never recovered to todayā€™s levels until 2013, long after the crisis. During that time, US federal debt to GDP rose from 65% to 14%, roughly where it remains today. Federal Debt to GDP in 2016? 104%. Today? 104%.

Do I like Trumpā€™s fiscal policies (tax cut), no, Iā€™ve been very vocal about wishing we had that one back. But saying itā€™s the same is patently false. Typical Libs.
