Russian history is incredibly interesting due to the influence of both Europe & Asia on it. When people classify Russians as âwhiteâ & western they tend not to have much historical context. It truley is a blend and a fascinating one at that.
I think theyre categorized as white and western because theyre nominally christian, they have a similar (though not the same) alphabet, and because the major russian cities (moscow and st petersburg) are relatively close to europe.
