at my last cfa society meeting I sat next to a guy that passed all three exams and had 0 experience. he was a contractor and was trying to switch into finance. kudos to him for trying.

^ That is definitely ambitious. 50+ yr old guy in construction. The only real shot he has, is to move into an equity research role for something construction related to what he was doing.
I’m underemployed in the sense that my work will not qualify. It’s over 6 figures though so I’ll stick to it until it runs dry
