@LadyMacbethStrategy interesting! I enjoyed Corporate Finance at L1 and L2 but I don’t think I ever saw that term before. You learn something new every day!
I wish you luck on your L3 exam results! I hope we’ll both have our charter soon.
P.S. in the play, Lady MacBeth persuades her ambitious husband to murder people so I hope you can understand my curiosity LOL!
Yea I don’t believe that I’ve read it anywhere in the curriculum, I think I came across it somewhere outside and it seemed very interesting to me. I also did love CF during L1 & L2, it was an easy subject for me.
I wish you the very best of luck too, and hope for everyone on this page to receive happy news on results day (even though unfortunately, the chances of that happening are slim given the pass rates )
PS: haha this is EXACTLY why I chose this nickname, it was an implicit warning to people on the forum to not get on my wrong side
Thanks! I’m coping by telling myself if the MPS is ~ 60% and I scored at least 70% in the afternoon, I really only need to break 50% in the AM session to pass. I hope this line of thinking helps keep everyone cautiously optimistic.
I feel even if I get a 100% on the PM session, it won’t make up for the morning mess I made LOL. I personally thought the PM session was easy. Yes, there were some stuff in between, but all in all, it felt fairly easy to me. But the morning session, it was a real mess for me… So yea, I feel no matter how well I did on PM, it won’t be enough… Idk, I may be exaggerating the AM session, i was racing through it anyway, and I don’t even remember what the questions were at this point!!!
60% seems too low to be honest… has this been the norm for L3? Well I hope it is as low as this fingers crossed.
Anyone’s subconscious torturing them? For 2 nights in a row now, my brain has correctly solved 2 exam essay questions! I wake up in the middle of the night with the correct answer and realise I effed it up on the exam, and this ruins my entire sleep. I’m fine during the day but at night, my brain just can’t stop working
I started flipping through the AM book and some proctor comes over and says I have to answer the questions sequentially. I just scowled at her, and said “WUT?” Then I complained at the end because this is the type of thing that gets me all hot and bothered. Conditions are tough enough such that this type of thing needs to not happen.
At least she realized upon my rather nasty scowl that she really didn’t know and backed away, but it’s still off putting when you’re trying to get started in earnest.
second time taking the exam. it was fair, but time management is so incredibly important.
The proctor was probably told that analysts were not allowed to go back and answer AM questions in the PM session (obviously) and was confused. Just a guess.
eh idk about all that. I mean we all had to take it wearing a mask for 6 hours. That being said, you’d think CFAI would make it a little easier.
I just wish they’d be more transparent on scoring of the exam, although I’ve read they DO NOT grade it on a curve.
At this point, I could not care less if I were the last person on the planet to pass just barely as long as I do. hats off though to CFAI if there intention was to make it difficult, because in my opinion they certainly accomplished that.
haha and I am guessing the one who barely passes their CFA exam will still be called a CFA Charterholder once they are done with the whole process, right
I am randomly recalling some questions and thinking to myself it was least likely… no no it was most likely! This is bad… Don’t worry. it is normal, just try to forget about it and move on with your life, until results day comes.
I suggest you change your perspective towards the rest of the world. I refrain from name calling unless somebody gets under my skin. You are a fraction away. Another piece of perfectly useless advice to you… Be a little less full of yourself. Humility is universally celebrated… which I am afraid you are not quite familiar with.
Naw, I been sleeping the sleep of the just ever since exam day. Pass or fail, having it out of the way after 1+ year of studying has done wonders for my state of mind. I hope you can get some well earned rest soon!
