I don’t see how libs can be on the side of creepy uncle Joe and his drug addict son here. It seems like there should be some investigating done into the Burisma deals.
So if your going to hire somebody and pay em $50k per month, but they have virtually no experience in your business, there must be something else they can provide of value? It’s not like he was a seasoned senior executive working in the energy business - his dad just happened to be the VP. Any reasonable person could se that things just don’t add up there.
Things do add up – Bursima hired the son of Joe Biden to try an influence Joe Biden. Joe Biden wasn’t involved, and Hunter isn’t a public official. There’s a reason why Ukraine wasn’t investigating this.

Again, what’s not okay is using the presidency to bribe someone to interfere in the election, and then obstruct the investigation into the presidency.
This isn’t an equivalency thing, one is significantly worse than the other, and if they’re both horrible, why aren’t you more concerned with the current corruption that we can stop rather than the corruption that already happened?
Well I’m no foreign policy expert, but I assume that foreign governments who accept aid from the U.S. have some understanding of the way the U.S. approves their funding and so forth. Since the aid was already approved for disbursement it would have to be released to Ukraine (and I’m sure this would have been explained to Trump before the phone call took place). So, no quid pro quo.
The fact that Hunter wasn’t a public official - that doesn’t mean anything; its about access to the VP.
(And I’m sitting on the sidelines here, I’m Canadian).

You don’t have to succeed committing the crime to actually commit the crime. Trump demanded Zelensky announce an investigation into the Biden’s for the aid to be released. Zelensky was going to do it, but then Trump got caught and released the aid, hoping this would go away. This is bribery, to the tune of $400 million.

Even if the courts would have made the aid go through eventually, Ukraine can’t defend itself with IOUs, it needs weapons. By denying the aid, 1 of 2 things can happen; 1. This is stalled in the courts and takes years to resolve making the aid useless or 2. Trump ignores the courts and nobody can stop him (because the DOJ is run by William Barr who thinks Presidents are kings). Again, allowing him to carry through on this threat. Even if this is wrong, clearly Zelensky believed it because he was going to go on CNN to announce the investigation, and then didn’t once the aid was released. Bribing through false threats is still bribing

Just because Bursima paid Biden’s son for access doesn’t mean Joe Biden gave them anything. It’s dumb as hell and optically looks horrible, but Joe Biden has not done anything that looks like corruption. If there was proof, Trump would have shown it by now.

None of this actually matters, Trump is being impeached for obstruction of justice, not for bribing Ukraine for aid.

Check out how many boards Trump’s kids are on or Chelsea Clinton or Kennedy or Bush children. Most of them they have no qualifications, but having prominent names on your board opens doors. Why is it so inexplicable for Biden’s kid?

Well, since the GOP wants all witnesses interviewed by the house, it sounds like Nancy needs to start sending subpoenas. I’d propose Bolton, Pompeo, Mulaney, Parnas, Giuliani, Nunes, Bolton, and of course, Trump Himself.
Dems need to do a better job and be more thorough, only way to make sure that the Senate can hold a fair trial!
