We shouldn’t be giving aid to corrupt countries! America first! President Trump is draining the swamp and even if this broke the law somehow (it didn’t) he did it for the good of the nation. We don’t look down on George Washington because he opposed Britain. President Trump would NEVER do something purely for himself or political gain!
According to this video, which was approved by the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden promised Ukraine a BILLION dollars if they fired the prosecutor investigating his son’s company. If that was legal, I don’t see how what President Trump allegedly did is illegal. Maybe they took it as prescient that it was okay to link foreign aid to investigations, I don’t know. We will soon find out (nothing will happen).
I don’t know whether Biden did that, and I don’t know whether if he did that it would be legal or not. Probably not, but I’m not fully conversant with federal law.
I suspect that you mean “precedent”, not “prescient”.
And you still haven’t answered my question.
To refresh your memory, you posted a quote from Rush Limbaugh that Burisma paid a bunch of money to Hunter Biden.
I asked how Burisma paying a bunch of money to Hunter Biden is relevant to the question of whether or not it was legal for Trump to link aid to Ukraine to Ukraine’s investigation of Joe Biden.
You don’t have to hate trump or trump policies to come to the conclusion that he simply cannot continue as president. There is a lot I agree with him on, especially China and immigration, but the way he injects racism, insults, and commercial self-interest into everything he does just shows he isn’t the right guy. We can do so much better, even with another Republican. The whole Trump family is a bunch of the worst kind of cynics. They think everyone is on the take, grifting, grinding their own axe, trading favors, and building their own brand…because that’s what they would do. The president really should be an elevating figure, role model.
i disagree/ the last thing i want, is a holier than thou type of president. i prefer the imperfections that make people more relatable. trump is an excellent candidate!
He is teaching the importance of branding and marketing and showing that it is not okay to be bullied or a victim. People have called him names and insulted him for his skin, his hands, his hair, his family. He’s fighting fire with fire! You have to fight for what you believe in!
“No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly. You can’t let them get you down, you can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams.” - President Trump
i was an immigrant because the us needed it specialists like my momma. so a corporation paid for her to move here legally as a green card holder. i didnt become a us citizen until i turned 18, but we are all citizens so my family cannot be thrown out. the only way is if we rage quit and renoucne it.
but on that note. if i had my way. there are a lot of us citizens where i would consider revoking their status. particularly low quality individuals. i think we should set a bar for all people to meet in terms of productivity and if they do not meet it, then off to mexico they go.
also i do know some people that are illegals. on a personal level, whether i like them or not, im not going to snitch on them to get iced. but i think policy should allow us to evict them and treat them with impunity as they are criminals. also if they are rich and high earnings illegals, i think we should be able to sell them citizenship to pay their dues upfront.
the main point is the us should have a set of standards. you cant just allow every person here who has a sob story. you cant just go from earning 2$ and hour to 15$ just because you can cross a fence.
3 of Tuesday’s 4 impeachment hearing witnesses have first-hand knowledge of Trump’s Ukraine call
8:20 a.m.
The third day of House public impeachment hearings begins Tuesday morning with testimony from two White House officials who listened in on President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Both witnesses — the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, and his counterpart at Vice President Mike Pence’s office, Jennifer Williams — both told House investigators in close-door depositions that they were discomfited by Trump’s request to Zelensky for a favor involving investigations of Joe and Hunter Biden and the Democratic National Committee. Trump has slammed both on Twitter."
