Quit Now While You Still Can

do u know which university is that? I sent my transcript to the accounting society in Ontario already for an evaluation, am waiting for their response…I think they may offer a DL…

Mad Respect. Fck CFA!@

soooo cfa+ 6 month internship(as an equity analyst or whatever)can get me in?

You are wrong. Work experience can be done before the exam, after the exam, or concurrently.

The OP is wrong if they think that taking a CPA Prep course (like Becker or Kaplan) counts as college credit though. (At least that’s the way it is in Texas. Each state is different.) They have to be college hours from an accredited school. And yes, Phoenix IS an accredited school.

This article is a couple months old, but does a good job of discussing the benefits of being a Charter holder: http://www.investopedia.com/articles/financial-theory/10/ongoing-cfa-career-benefits.asp

Fck You OP!

I am not sure. I have heard only once you registered with CPA society, you start accumulating experience. What you have done before you become a CPA society member deson’t count. Maybe Canada and US are different.

And does anyone know if the expenses paid for CPA prep courses in Canada are tax deductable?

When people talk about CPA, I assume they mean US.

And in the US, any expenses related to maintaining or improving your skills are tax deductible. This includes CPA and CFA exams.

Bunch of suckas.

I’ve (skim) read this whole thread. I expected a better discourse from charterholders.

check out the water cooler

^Nothing but high-brow discussion there
