This thread is falling off a cliff. I don’t care if my coworkers are racist outside of work as long as I feel like I’m fairly compensated and my skin tone doesn’t affect my career trajectory. At work is a somewhat different story, and I do hear people slip sometimes…
I am frankly appalled that there are no octogenarian LGBT women in this discussion. Clearly, Analyst Forum is sexist, ageist, and discriminative towards people with alternate gender identities.
Since CvM didn’t post his rant after all, maybe there were no racist coworkers to begin with and he just started this thread on purpose to spot our resident racists.
are there any anti-discriminatory laws in non-US workplaces?
I am sure ChickenTikka would ban all Indians from India (or at least the good parts of India) if he could. Failing which, if they were foolish enough to promote him, I imagine he would consign his Indian coworkers to basements while he rules from the Penthouse, just like the Raj days. Are there any laws to stop his mad power-grab?
Yeah, where I live (Canada) the human rights code and labour laws intersect in the workplace so worker protections againt discrimination and unjust practices are IMO much much stronger in Canada then the United States.
One thing though is that Canadians tend not to be assholes and canadian culture is surprisingly distinct from american culture. so even lacking thes laws discrimintion probably wouldn’t be as much of an issue as it is in other jurisdictions.
Bro, there’s nothing racist about the truth. Its been proven in academic research us whities need to elevate our coolness game if we want to compete. For every one carlton banks theres ten bill gates, as a race us pigmentally impaired people are losing the coolness battle.
