You know what would be cruel? - release the pass rate the day before the results come out! How would you like to see a fat 52% staring at you and then wondering for 24 hours which side you fell on?

If you click on register for level III you get a list of actions you have completed, such as registration. My exam tab has turned yellow. Last year there was a whole debate about what this means, but it happened a bit nearer results day - a no conclusion was ever reached.
Mine is yellow and has a check mark in it, but i assume the check is that you have taken the exam.
@ Big Babbu: There was nobody in your office/friend circle who was a lv1 candidate? There’s always a frenzy in the office when results come out, and friends want to go celebrate/drink their sorrows away.

I’m the only one in our whole company who’s made it past Level 1. One guy (who works in a commercial branch) is writing for the third time in December, and a couple others couldn’t get past it and quit after their second try. All of my co-workers with post university education are CA’s or CGA’s.
What could be next? Instead of just publicizing when the results will be out, why not also publicize the % of candidates that CFAI feels like passing this year. i.e. Passing 40% Level I, II and passing 50% of Level III. What do you think?

Yeah I agree that there is also some pre-determined pass rate. Last year, as you indicated, the pass rates were all nicely-rounded percentages: 40/40/50.
