Because I can trade it and have a large enough capital base to where it makes sense to take the short term capital gains tax hit at this point. Did I make the mistake of not selling it at ATHs of 3.20? Sure…but I don’'t have a crystal ball. Ironically, today’s sell off in US equities isn’t very reassuring to being conducive to holding something short term like XRP that doesn’t have a claim on any cash flows of the underlying firm.
If even stocks are vulnerable right now, then something like cryptos are double if not triple as risky. Near term anyway.
Alright well, good for you then. I’m happy with my returns having bought in at 23 cents. Is it more reckless than owning stock? yeah. However, I took the risk and it worked out.
Right, immediately after erasing even more years of equity returns if held in the preceding months. It’s a special kind of analysis to cheerlead something that surged to less than half it’s January highs as a great investment. Nobody’s arguing it isn’t volatile and you can certainly make money off volatility if there’s some way of properly deducing trades. But I think the storyline has been deflated and is finished as a long term investment.
because we don’t care if its $3, $2, $1, $0.50 or $0.01. if its above zero, its expensive. you can only badmouth something so much. dumbos are probably buying BECAUSE pros have stopped talking about how all cryptos are going to zero.
Fair enough, well future empirical results will decide I guess. It’s already a foregone conclusion though. Extremely predictable. I think I mentioned on here how it would find a bottom in the 50-55 cent range and it hit a low of 47 or 46 i think before heading back to where it is now. Not too bad of a call. Luck? Possibly. I’ve made three decision regarding it. Buy at .23 sell at 1.06 and just bought back at .68 a few day ago.
I was just sayin I thought it was interesting how everyone has completely bashed it. It’s obviously speculative to probably the highest degree but it’s easy to trade so why not make money? I own stocks, corporate bonds, pref stock, do some options trading also, I look at crypto as just another tool in that mix.
Possibly? Try definitely. You a PRO at buying those bottom ticks and selling those top ticks on an anonymous forum without any proof though. Grats bro!!
Classic case of fooled by randomness which leads to overconfidence and the eventual/inevitable blow up.
