The best way to retain passion is to work more! Be productive and feel good about it. I am experimenting it on myself. Will keep you posted if it works on me. ;p
I’m keeping busy with Golf & yard projects. Before the exam I couldn’t even waste 20 minutes doing yard work because I felt guilty about not studying. Since the exam I’ve been planting new grass, staining my fence, de-weeding my flower beds (wife won’t do it, lol), fixed the roof of my shed after a tree fell on it last fall, etc. Took up golf and will try to stick to it this year and get decent. Taking some lessons and hopefully will be able to be more consistent on the links. I’ve also taken up beer.
I’ve taken up card counting. The statistics behind it are fascinating and using an adjusted basic strategy can get you upwards of 20% advantage over the house. Super interesting stuff. If you’re interested check out Semyon Dukack’s videos on youtube. That man is brilliant.
