I just bought the first season of Mad Men and have been watching it the last couple of days. We need to bring the skinny ties back to life.

… in the office that is.

Only $60? I know a guy in Florida who would be willing to loan you some bux

No, I don’t need the pants we wear under expensive coats. Those dress pants come around $200. I was looking for more like day-to-day rough & tough office wear over a regular slim fit dress shirt. The issue is getting size 28!

Pants can be pretty expensive to buy. In general, if you want to get some slim fit pants, the European makers are almost invariably much more slimmer cut than the U.S., so check out Thomas Pink or Charles Tyrwhitt. Otherwise, you might even want to go check out Daffy’s – they have “slightly irregular” Incotex pants sometimes, which is the company that makes the pants for Zegna. I’ve bought some stuff from Daffy’s in the past, and the imperfections are practically imperceptible, at least to me. That’s one way you can get a pair of pants that’s normally $300 for like $25-49…

bonobos pants are ~$85
