smoking weed on camera is probably not the best idea. it is equivalent to chugging a forty of old e on camera. i have nothing against either. it simply shows a lack of judgment and control. dude just admitted issues with ambien. now he’s smoking weed publicly. federal law still states that smoking weed is illegal despite what cali says.
Ok, I don’t know for sure of course. However, the fact of the matter is that the guy gave up a $20 million bonus, because whatever he had to deal with at Tesla was not worth it to him. Is this just cultural issue? Or is it something else? The chief HR also quit on the same day. At best, this is indicative of toxic management culture at Tesla. At worst, it is something more inappropriate that the guy felt compelled to disassociate himself from.
So when is TSLA a buy?

My guess would actually be neither tbh, but if I had to choose, perhaps the former. I think it’s true that most high level execs do not want to be somewhere that has a CEO who is exhibiting wreck less personal behavior in the context of what’s acceptable in the eyes of stakeholders.
However, Elon Musk is smart, VERY smart. Someone had mentioned this may be a PR stunt to indirectly drive the share price down to make TSLA more attractive to take private…would not be shocked if this is the case. That or he is just legitimately losing his damn mind lol
I wonder that also. There has to be premium on the table for entry at some point if/when they are taken private. 3-6 months?

Of course he is smart. However, he is also insomniac, overworked, on drugs, to the point of erratic behavior, calling random people pedo in social media, lying about investment capital, and crying on live interview.

I’ve been a ranting TSLA hater pretty much since inception but today I’m calling it a high conviction buy. The progress on manufacturing is real as is their advantage on assisted driving. I pretty much despise Musk but this is a value company at this level.
People who commit fraud have to be bright to pull it off. Dude is scary. Hope he does well but has too many red flags

bs, i think wanna see its debt load weigh on the stock a lot more before getting excited. that’s the one advantage of speculating in tsla versus other tech type companies is the debt should cause HUGE price swings. it has been random walk so far. i wanna see sub $200s and a year go by.
They’re likely to turn FCF positive next quarter and then accelerate, I think frankly the debt load has been surpressing the price.
No, I actually have always been a Musk hater (now vindicated). Now I just think the production is turning the corner and the price is right.
