Nope, the chicken and rice cart!
Do you have student loans too?
You will not net 71% of your gross pay in NYC with taxes; more like 60%-65% depending on where you live
$70K * 65% = $45,500 / 12 months = $3,792 net per month
What are your expenses? Food & Drink (expensive in NYC), phone, cable, electric, loans, credit cards, etc…
You will not be saving anything
No student loans or any financial liabilites as such (thanfully!)
expenses i guess would be mostly rent & food. but 35-40% tax seems steep! will have to do more research on that…
thanks!

According to streeteasy.com there are currently 12 apartments for rent for less than $1500/mo in manhattan south of 96th st. Anyone who thinks you need to live in the ghettos of Staten Island or New Jersey in order to find an affordable apartment is clearly quite ignorant.
^ Do they mention the rat/square feet ratio?

I don’t know if that was said in jest, but I want to point out that this is a common theme amongst African American culture. I learned that taking some psych course in college and it threw me for a loop.
It’s always ironic seeing people being discriminated against discriminating other people.
U cant be anti-gay these days. I went to a party and started talking crap about homos next thing u know I was the victim of a public lynching. These idiots made it sound like I was the evil V. It was me vs. twenty debating gay rights and whether theyre born that way.
