What is the most satisfying career in finance? Most satisfying role?

I would beat myself to death with my own golf club if I had to do even a week of this crap. Ugh.

M’n’A’in on the Buyside kid. Work hard, play hard, get paid and buy that fast car! Models and Bottles evrry Day!

y!

…being Itera’s boss

Me too. Give me my home research setup in my study with a cup of coffee and I’m 100x more satisfied than doing the sales thing. Not that I don’t mind the occasional round of golf or gathering. But I work for an ex-sales person and I can’t understand how they live their life with so much nonsense on the go. It’s like a lifestyle that doesn’t end.

^ I feel the same way. I got out of sales to go into finance but it seems like most of the people who make the most money in finance are salesman! oh well…

I think the most satisfying job would be to be a famous BSD short seller like Einhorn. When you talk people listen and when you drop the company name, the stock tanks. But I’m considered a narcissist by some peoples’ standards so don’t mind me.
