Unfortunately I don´t think Colombia will make it. Brazil didn´t convince throughout the tournament but still succeeded. I´m hoping on Costa Rica, maybe they can surprise the Dutch. Netherlands only benefitted from their offensive power (including Robben´s spectacle) but was vulnerable in the defense…
apparently this is the 1st time ever that all the group winners have won their last 16 games and gone through to the quarter finals. The only team that have been convincing are Colombia.
Friday is going to be immense. France Germany then Brazil Colombia
Hazard was terrible too. the coach has 2 options, a) play him in the middle b) keep playing him wide and make him track back or a better side will pick them off. I personally don’t think Hazard will ever reach the level he should.
Fellaini is just awful, they need to drop him for the next round.
This guy always has me on the fence. He’s immensely talented no doubt, but there’s something wrong with his head because he could be so much more clinical and influential. Instead we never know who’s going to show up on game day.
Colling breaks are not common here (unless you mean at the WC).
In Brazil the press is all over Julio Cesar like he’s a good goalie because he caught a couple PKs against Chile. Yet I see Colombia doing like everybody else and shooting from far because they know he might take it. And he might take it.
Just to add, India’s rise to the world cup might take place sooner than expected. Manchester United have handpicked the son of a whore from a eastern Indian state and there have been whispers about an Indian kid in the Liverpool academy. These clubs are literally scrambling to set up academies here as the article touched because they know the first club to field an Indian player just unlocked a market greater than Europe.
