60 days left - How many hours do you plan on studying until the exam

conservatively, I plan on studying atleaat another 300 hours in the next 60 days… up to 450 if all the stars are aligned. problem is I feel this still night not be enough

150 for a total of 300 depending on work schedule, right now I only have weekends + the last week off before the exam.

300 at least.

Around 135 more hours. Last year I studied 235 hours and failed band 8. Add that to roughly 200 hours more of studying this year and I damn well better pass.

Additional 150, for a total of 480… not sure if it’ll be enough though

Going for 300 over the next two months during the nights and weekends… Tonight’s been my first real night studying so far :o … it’s gonna be a fun 2 months of stress, anxiety, and coffee!

About 200 hours if I can

120 Hours more for me. 2 hours each day.

I wish that I could do more, but I am so lazy, it is ridiculous.

Will bring my total to about 400 Hours. Never tracked it too closely, but did something most days.

120 hours too.

I’m going to try for an additional 150 or so…anything above that is a massive bonus. It’s hard to find time after work and I can barely bring myself to do 3+ hours on the weekends…:frowning:

Same situation here. How many hours a week do you work? I’m on 60+ :frowning:

I will push for 2 solid hours in the morning before work (weekdays) + bonus hour throughout the day. And if not too tired in the evening write formulas for 20-30min.

Shooting for 5-6 hours each weekend.

Should bring the cumulative about in 60 days to 220 hours.

Total time will definitely be over 400, but not sure how much as I don’t track.

I run a systematic managed futures strategy for a CTA which runs 24 hours a day from 10pm Sunday night until 9pm Friday night. There’s a team of two of us managing it, and obviously I’m not working 24 hours a day solid…but many a night I’m woken up by the system alarm and have to manage/oversee order completion. I have an identical set up at home as I do in the office, and unfortunately first thing I have to do when I get home from the office is turn that system on and monitor from home. I feel like I’m never away from it to be honest…bit of a nightmare.

So yeah, it can be difficult to get any time when i don’t at least have to keep an eye on it. In terms of hours worked per week…God knows, but it feels like a lot!

I’m about 75 during the week, 5-10 on weekends

On most days I could study between 9pm and go to sleep at 1-2am but I have found this burns me out after a few days… realistic goal is 3 hours a day on weekdays and 6-8 on Sat/Sun… I’m also taking final week off from work and doing the LevelUp boot camp end of the month… I’m still not at a point were I can realistically attempt a full mock with looking at solution. Hope to be there by May

S666 what instruments do you trade? I have an accont with IB and plenty of experience trading ZN/ZB/ES… agri/ FX futures… but I decided to stay away from the market until after the exam… during the vol period of the last year… the after hour moves had me up all night

God yeah, especially FX - it’s been all over the place lately!

I trade purely E-Mini S&P 500 and Eurostoxx 50 futures within the strategy; I’m looking to add a few more markets though, depending on the results of some backtesting I’m undertaking. Looking to diversify by incorporating some/all of the FTSE 100, CAC 40, Nasdaq, Aussie 200 and maybe…just maybe the Kospi (that last one is causing me some grief though to get hold of the necessary data to fully backtest)

For my pa I trade some other stuff too, a little FX here and there and some buy and hold equity stuff.

On the cards in the near future too is perhaps some ETF stuff. I like the concept of ETFs, but havn’t had the time to work on any particular strategy that includes them. If I was, I’d be looking to some mean reversion relationships - see if I could squeeze a decent Sharpe ratio out of something there. That’s the hope anyway.

I don’t know how much time I already spent, it must be little as I just finished book 2. Past one week I studied 2 hours on weekday and 10 hours each on weekend but highly unproductive. I plan to give 3 hours daily and 12 hours each on weekend upto April end. I am taking full May off for this and so will try to study 12-14 hours in a boot camp sort of setting till the exam. Does that looks enough?

+1. I’ve been doing 2-3 hours a day since about October, I’m not gonna try to cram another 400 hours into eight weeks. Kudos to the people that can study for 5,6,7 plus hours a day…no way i could do that for more than a week.

12-14 hours? That is a real lot of time - I would never be able to do that.
