Nothing wrong with investing in yourself. I’m also into fitness as well; but certainly not savage like you. Different circumstances though.
So you are trying to run your fastest mile ever and haven’t been on a run in like a month?
haha its a real crazy plan - whole journey has been crazy I want to run right now and test it out, but would hate to ruin my knee this close to the race. I could possibly test it out on the beach or treadmill, but that might be a half ass effort vs a full effort I could get again on the bike. I feel my best chance is one shot with the adrenaline, envisioning that a dinosaur is chasing me or something. Whole plan might completely not work at all, but been trying pretty hard to pull it off. We will see. I’m pretty heavy right now. I think my quads have become made of steel this week and have added muscle mass. Sitting at about 180lbs. I’m still thinking of a triathlon style run (shorter stride). I guess I just go and have fun as they say. Pretty hard for me to do usually. I want to win. I want a PR. I still think there is a chance.
haha must be the best
Finished the week at 15,994ft. I’m not really that tired. Maybe will workout tonight in NYC.
ACE, can you have sex for 30-40 minutes where you’re doing most of the work without breaking a sweat? If so, you may have some alternative career options.
^i thought you were asking for a friend (wife)

New Yorkers are spoiled lol
Ace how much do you spend on food a month?
It’s usually under 4. I think March/April might have been over 4 as well as this past month though. Probably about 2.7-3.4K average.
I shouldn’t be paying for all this fuel. I need a sponsor. I was offered a partial sponsorship with a local nutrition company with my Muay Thai team, but I disagreed with their nutrition theory. They do catered meals for the fighters and stuff. Much of their calories are from noodles/rice and I am pretty much off of grains most of the time, which befuddles a lot of my teammates. I’ve been trying to think of places that could sponsor me. I know / am good friends with a manager at Whole Foods - maybe I could work something out with the store. I need to look into it.
Just getting comped on Vega, Huma (gel), Lara Bars, RX bars, Gatorade would help a lot though. Maybe I should start writing letters to these companies.
Its starting again… been eating like crazzzyyyyy … this place is awesome

I’ve had to get familiar with my Carbon Fiber bike a lot more than I thought I would have. So, I’m taking kind of a long route on training for Sunday’s 70.3. I might take 2 bikes and get in some miles sometime tomorrow. After 7pm tomorrow night, I have nothing to do and based on my normal 4hr pre race sleep habits, I’m thinking of riding, on and off from 9pm - 11:30pm maybe in Augusta on the Jamis (steel). Carbon has to be turned into race people by 5pm.
Possibly… I know this sounds crazy. I might not be able to get two bikes in my car though - I just have a japanese sedan — maybe it will work… I took a good look today and think if I can take all the tires off, I can fit the two frames in the backseat or something. I would just rather be a little tired than a little anxious. I’m going to get jumpy at 9pm or 10pm and don’t want to run (risky for me). I need the bike. Goal of all of this would be to solidify my comfort level on the bike and make that part of the race a lot easier for me, meaning I could recover from the swim and not be too tired for the run. Thats the plan. I know, I’m not a normal athlete.
If I ride tomorrow night, its less about going for speed/distance, but more about working out the muscles of being on a bike and small muscles in the shoulders and other things that if you blow out a small muscle 40mi into the bike, you’re in a bad place or you lose that position/angle on the bike.
dinner coming / just got back from cycling ///// shower … then maybe catch some sparring tonight if anyone is still there and got some new Hypnotik gloves for striking
amppppppppppppppped
cheers
