Advice for L2 Candidates

If any L3 candidates could provide some advice on the following it would be appreciated. I am a repeating L2 candidate, my progress to date is that I have finished my first review of the Schweser notes as well as updating my handwritten notes. Given that you have all previously been in my position and succeeded, what would you recomend to be the most effective study plan going forward? (eg. complete all of CFAI end of chapter questions, CFAI online exams, do Schweser Q-Bank ect, or all of the above) note, time wont be such a limiting factor - I should be able to manage about 15 - 20hrs p/w. Thanks in advance!

I would do the CFAI end of chapter questions, all the Schweser practice exams, the difficult Q-Bank questions (even though they’re a bit long-winded, it’s good for endurance), and all the CFAI online practice exams. I did attend the 3 day Schweser seminar and it was a big help. Overall, I think practice questions are important. I’d rather do practice questions than reread the notes because it’s easier to figure out what you don’t understand by doing the practice questions. Good luck!

i found the schweser question bank cd to be invaluable. i also found that doing any questions i could find was far more useful than reading the material. the secret sauce is pretty helpful too.

I agree with oskigo about the secret sauce. I used it last year and will use it again this year for L3. Also, like the others have said, do all of the CFAI end of chapter questions and the online exams offered on the website. I found the level of difficulty of the online exams to be similar to the real test. Finally, if money isn’t a problem for you and you are struggling with FSA, I highly recommend John Harris’ workshop. I can’t remember the website for his workshop but maybe someone here knows and can provide it.
