I was at the Arizona v Dallas game on Sunday. I went with my Dad, and because he’s 70 years old, we weren’t in any hurry to get out of the stadium.
As we were walking to the car, we were passed by a group of good-but-not-great looking girls. I noticed quickly that they were all carrying backpacks or other bags, and they had some kind of backstage pass.
It occurred to me that these were probably cheerleaders. Granted, they were wearing workout pants or kinda-baggyjeans, but you could still tell they had good figures. On the other hand, I don’t know if it’s the uniform, or just the idea of the cheerleader, but they didn’t look nearly as good in street clothes as they did on the Jerrytron.
Don’t get me wrong, I was still checking them out. But if I didn’t know better, I would have just assumed that they were ordinary college chicks. When they’re not in uniform, they’re not as special as you might think.
Yes, it’s amazing what some well-done makeup, hair, and well-fitting clothes can do.
I’m not sure if it’s the same for Cheerleaders, who have to be fairly atheltic to do their job, but with models, one is often struck by how stick-thin they tend to be. That’s because the camera lens tends to widen people a bit in the middle, so when you see fashion models in the flesh, they look far more anorexic than they do in their photos.
Of course, today, with photoshop, maybe it doesn’t matter quite as much, since pretty much anything can be altered now. But one of the times I was dragged to a fashion show in New York, I was notedly struck by this.
I have two friends on the Redskins cheerleading team - they are pretty but yeah when they put on all the tight clothes and are on tv they look super hot.
It’s kind of like seeing a model without her makeup on - they just look like regular people - ie normal hot chicks.
Ha ha ha, I heard it on the radio driving to work today (only a 10 minute drive and they talked about it for 8 of those minutes). It’s really fascinating how fast it has taken off. But some of those memes as a result made me LOL at my office after I googled them
I care about the ability of a firm to turn something that viral. So I was extremely interested in how it was done. But I care very little for the cutie pie
^ They probably had the most spirit. The captain of my HS cheerleading squad was also fat, but was the most enthusiastic by far. There were also several hotties, but they were basically phoning it in.
